Support Our Projects in Afghanistan

Abdali Foundation is a non-profit corporation operating exclusively for eduational and charitable pruposes within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3). Abdali Foundation focuses to address the challenges related to; education, humanitarian relief, and provides aid and relief to eradicate poverty on a local and global level. Therefore,  one the aims of Abdali Foundation is to support the needy people in Afghanistan. Our mission for support to Afghanistan is to promote girls’ education, financial aid to poor citizens and orphans, and advance awareness among the women in rural remote and urban areas about their constitutional rights and in accordance with the best international practices and high values of human rights charters. 

So far Abdali Foundation undertaken the following projects in Afghanistan. Some of the projects are implemented in partnership with our subsidiary Hewad Foundation that is also a registered non-profit NGO in Afghanistan:

Mr. Abdul Naseer Yasini, President of Abdali Foundation, has visited Abdali Foundation programs in Afghanistan during July, 2021. He checked the progress of the programs, met our local field staff and partners, and handed awards to successful students in our educational programs.


Girls Education

Girls Education Classes

Abdali Foundation runs a number of girls classes in partnership with Hewad Foundation, providing basic education in remote areas of Afghanistan to prepare them for regular schooling. Currently the classes are focused on girls in the Kama District of Nangarhar province.

University Entry exam preparation Project

University Entry Exam Preparation Project

Every year, over 300 thousand students take University Entry Exam in Afghanistan after their graduation from High school. Our program targets those students to help them learn how to take the exam, providing them practice questions, enhance their knowledge in the relevant subjects, and to make them capable of passing the final Exam and will make the students’ entry eligible to one of the recognized universities in the country. 

Feeding poor people is our priority

 Abdali Foundation runs on a regular basis a continuous Food Drive Project to the needy people in Kama district Nangarhar province.It also runs a continuous program of financial support to over 100 orphans in the district. The project is run in partnership with Hewad Foundation. 

Learn language to know about your culture

 Abdali Foundation runs a number of online Pashto language classes for Afghans settled in the USA, Europe, and Middle East. The program register students from Afghanistan in exceptional cases. The classes are taught online by teachers residing in the USA and Afghanistan. We target children of ages 5-18 boys and girls.

Knowledge is a power

mobile library

 In partnership with Hewad Foundation, the Abdali Foundation launched a mobile library built in a truck to travel to various schools in Nangahar province and advocate the reading culture among Afghan school students. The aim is to spread the habit of reading and enhance the reading skills of the students at schools.

    Additional Information

    Abdali Foundation is engaged with the  Afghan refugee families in different capacities in the DMV area. Abdali Foundation is proud to highlight in brief some of its major activities related to Afghan refugee families as follows: 

    Major Activities

    • Served 17 families and 70 individual family members. 
    • Made two job placements for heads of two families with local community organizations. 
    • Provided clothing, winter jackets, shoes, food pantry, and kitchen essentials to these Afghan refugee families in the DMV area. .
    • Donated bulk clothing to Komak Foundation in Fairfax. 
    • Scheduled doctor appointment with local community free clinics. 
    • Identified relevant schools for the kids and enrolled kids of Afghan refugee families in schools of Loudoun and Fairfax Counties. .
    • Changed health insurance plans for some families. 
    • provided free transportation pick up and drop off to the rental apartments and DMV for knowledge test. 
    • Collected food pantry and clothing from our neighborhood. 
    • Assisted families in finding rental apartments and linking some families with local real estate agents. 
    • Navigating Afghan refugee families to their local routine needs and introducing them to local discount stores. 
    • Providing to the refugee families addresses of local Halal stores. 
    • Navigating refugee families to the local religious community centers and many more services provided. 

    Future Projects:

    • Soon Abdali Foundation will publish the Pashto and Dari Translation of Virginia Driver's Manual. 
    • Abdali Foundation will hold weekly Driving classes to men and women who do not speak English. 
    • Abdali Fondation will start ESL classes as well. 
    • Cultural classes (teaching Afghan refugee families the cultural change and how to bond with the communities).

    • Current ongoing Pashto classes are open for kids enrollment to refresh their language..
